Leave a Gift to Restore God’s Kingdom in Your Will

A Gift Beyond a Lifetime

Our last will and testament is one of the most personal expressions of our responsibilities, our affections and the values by which we have lived.

By remembering Restore God’s Kingdom in your will, you can help ensure that vulnerable, suffering and persecuted Christians continue to receive practical assistance, pastoral accompaniment and access to the sacramental life long into the future.

A legacy need not be large to make a lasting difference. Every gift is received with gratitude and administered with care, accountability and respect for the intentions of the person who gave it.

Your Family and Loved Ones Come First

We believe that providing for your family, loved ones and dependants should always come first.

Once you have considered those closest to you, you may choose to leave a gift to Restore God’s Kingdom. There is no obligation to do so, and you do not need to inform us of your decision.

Your will remains entirely your own, and you may amend it whenever your circumstances or wishes change.

How Your Legacy Can Help

A gift in your will can help future generations of vulnerable Christians through:

  • Humanitarian Aid

Providing food, shelter, medicine and emergency assistance to Christian families and communities experiencing poverty, persecution, displacement or disaster.

  • Pastoral Care

Helping bishops, priests, religious and trusted local Church partners reach isolated communities and accompany people through hardship.

  • Sacramental Support

Supporting the celebration of the Mass, priestly ministry, religious formation and continued access to the sacraments where Christian life is under pressure.

  • Stronger Christian Communities

Helping sustain churches, religious communities, formation, transportation and practical projects that enable Christian faith and service to endure.

Ways to Leave a Gift

  • A Residuary Gift

A residuary gift is a share or percentage of what remains of your estate after your debts, expenses and other gifts have been provided for.

Because it is expressed as a proportion rather than a fixed amount, a residuary gift generally retains its relative value over time.

  • A Pecuniary Gift

A pecuniary gift is a specified sum of money left to Restore God’s Kingdom in your will.

Your solicitor can advise you about whether the amount should be index-linked so that its value is better preserved.

  • A Specific Gift

A specific gift may consist of a particular asset, property, investment or other item.

Please obtain legal and financial advice before leaving a specific asset, as some gifts may involve valuation, administration or disposal considerations.

“I give [the sum of €_____ / _____% of my residuary estate / the following asset: _____] to Restore God’s Kingdom Company Limited by Guarantee, Registered Charity Number 20206807 and Company Registration Number 767621, of 4 Willowmount, Williamstown, Blackrock, Co. Already Have a Will?

If you already have a will, your solicitor can advise whether it may be amended by making a codicil or whether preparing a new will would be more appropriate.

You should not alter or write on your existing will yourself, as doing so could affect its validity.

Tax Treatment of Charitable Gifts

A gift or inheritance received and applied for public or charitable purposes may be exempt from Capital Acquisitions Tax, subject to Revenue’s requirements and the circumstances of the gift.

Your solicitor or tax adviser can explain how the relevant rules may apply to your estate.

Your Decision Is Private

You do not need to tell Restore God’s Kingdom that you have included us in your will.

If you choose to inform us, your notification will be treated sensitively and confidentially. It is not legally binding, does not prevent you from changing your will and does not require you to disclose the value of your intended gift.

Speak to Us in Confidence

A Promise of Prayer to Our Benefactors

Restore God’s Kingdom remembers its benefactors not only with gratitude in this life, but also in prayer after death. Upon being notified of a benefactor’s death, we will arrange, entirely free of charge, for a Gregorian series of thirty Masses to be offered for the repose of his or her soul.

This promise of prayer is available to every Restore God’s Kingdom benefactor, regardless of the amount or form of their support, and is not conditional upon leaving a gift in a will. To ensure that the Masses can be arranged, simply ask your solicitor, executor or a family member to notify Restore God’s Kingdom following your death by contacting admin@restoregodskingdom.ie or (01) 254 4498. Once we have been notified, the Gregorian Masses will be arranged automatically and no payment or Mass offering will be requested.

Let the Light Continue

A legacy to Restore God’s Kingdom is more than a gift entrusted for the future. It is an act of faith: a decision that suffering should still be answered with mercy, that persecuted Christians should not be forgotten and that the light of Christ should continue to reach places of darkness.

Thank you for considering a gift that can bear fruit beyond a lifetime. God bless you!
